How do I set up my Bregenzeria device for the first time?

Setting up your Bregenzeria device involves a few simple steps:

  1. Connect your device to a power source using the included USB-C cable
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new wallet or restore an existing one
  3. Set up your PIN code (and biometric authentication if your model supports it)
  4. Write down your recovery seed phrase on the provided recovery card
  5. Verify your recovery phrase when prompted
  6. Download and install the Bregenzeria companion app on your computer or mobile device
  7. Connect your device to the app and follow the final setup instructions

What should I do if I forget my PIN code?

If you forget your PIN code, you'll need to reset your device and restore your wallet using your recovery seed phrase:

  1. Enter an incorrect PIN three times to initiate the reset process
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the device
  3. Choose the "Restore Wallet" option during setup
  4. Enter your recovery seed phrase when prompted
  5. Create a new PIN code

Important: This process will only work if you have your recovery seed phrase. If you've lost both your PIN and recovery phrase, your funds may be permanently inaccessible. Always keep your recovery phrase in a secure location.

How do I update the firmware on my device?

To update your Bregenzeria firmware:

  1. Connect your device to your computer using the USB-C cable
  2. Open the Bregenzeria companion app
  3. Navigate to Settings > Device > Firmware Update
  4. If an update is available, click "Update Now"
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update

Note: Always ensure your recovery seed phrase is accessible before performing a firmware update. In rare cases, updates might require a device reset.

Which cryptocurrencies are supported by Bregenzeria devices?

Bregenzeria devices support a wide range of cryptocurrencies, including:

How do I receive cryptocurrency to my hardware wallet?

To receive cryptocurrency to your Bregenzeria wallet:

  1. Connect your device to the companion app
  2. Select the cryptocurrency you wish to receive
  3. Click on "Receive" to generate your receiving address
  4. Verify the address on your device's screen (this is a critical security step)
  5. Share this address with the sender or scan the QR code

Security Tip: Always verify the receiving address on your hardware wallet's screen, not just in the app. This protects against address substitution attacks if your computer is compromised.

How do I send cryptocurrency from my hardware wallet?

To send cryptocurrency from your Bregenzeria wallet:

  1. Connect your device to the companion app
  2. Select the cryptocurrency you wish to send
  3. Click on "Send" and enter the recipient's address (or scan their QR code)
  4. Enter the amount you wish to send
  5. Review the transaction details on your device's screen
  6. Confirm the transaction on your device by pressing the confirmation button or using biometric authentication

Important: Your private keys never leave your hardware wallet, even during transactions. The transaction is signed securely on the device itself.

What happens if my device is lost or stolen?

If your Bregenzeria device is lost or stolen, your funds remain secure as long as the thief cannot access your PIN code or passphrase. Here's what you should do:

  1. Don't panic - your device is protected by your PIN code and will lock or erase itself after multiple incorrect attempts
  2. Purchase a new Bregenzeria device
  3. During setup, select "Restore Wallet" and enter your recovery seed phrase
  4. Set up a new PIN code
  5. Your wallet and all funds will be restored on the new device

Security Note: For additional security, premium models support passphrases (sometimes called the "25th word"). If you were using a passphrase, you'll need to enter both your seed phrase and passphrase to restore access to your funds.

How do I create a hidden wallet with a passphrase?

Premium and Advanced Bregenzeria models support hidden wallets via passphrases:

  1. Connect your device to the companion app
  2. Go to Settings > Security > Passphrase
  3. Enable the passphrase feature
  4. Enter your desired passphrase on the device (not on your computer)
  5. Confirm the passphrase

Important: Each unique passphrase creates a completely separate wallet. If you forget your passphrase, those funds cannot be recovered, even with your seed phrase. Store your passphrase securely and separately from your seed phrase.
